Dear Art and Design Community:
Tuesday, December 3 is #GivingTuesday, a national day devoted to giving back to charities instead of purchasing material goods. The Art and Design PTA has non-profit status, and we are participating for the third year!
Our goal is to raise at least $2500 from #GivingTuesday. Any donation made is fully tax-deductible and will serve the needs of our school! Here are some ways you can help:
Help us make our third #GivingTuesday successful, as we strive to provide needed supplies, programs, and experiences for the students of Art and Design. College trips, art supplies and equipment, field trip funding, DJ for school dances, team uniforms, and more are all supported by the PTA with your generous support. Thank you.

DOROTHY THE WITCH HUNTER is an original, jukebox style musical comedy written and performed by the students of the Drama Club.
Toto, a traumatized dog, is in therapy as she recounts a harrowing adventure into an alternate world with her hooman, Dorothy. The land of Oz, filled with witches, wizards, a talking Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion and Flying Monkeys, ultimately teaches everyone what they really want and who they really are in life.
The High School of Art & Design Drama Club is an after school club in which students not only perform as actors, they also design and create the theatrical elements of the set, costumes, props, lighting, sound, advertisement and stage management of a play production.
Drama Club continues to exist because of the support of our audience members. All proceeds from ticket sales help buy supplies for this and future Drama Club productions.

We want to thank all the candidates who ran for the election! And remember, there are lots of ways for all parents to be involved in the PTA so we hope you will volunteer and engage in other ways!

Our congratulations to all the students whose work will be shown. Many thanks to Ms. Brenna McLaughlin, A&D Photography teacher, for spearheading the effort. Thank you to A&D fashion teachers Eileen Farrelly and Helene Alexander whose students are in the show. And thank you to all the parents who support the school. It’s because of your contributions to the PTA that we were able to fund this and pay for the students to exhibit.
Come to the exhibit to support our students. It’s free to attend. Hope to see you all there in CONTAINER NUMBER 41!
